Bleh

Blah. Boogers.

Sorry I’ve dried up a bit. Pain, depression, lots of pain relievers, and a number of other things add up to me not being able to focus very well. I’ve gotten nothing done in days, and I’m just plain tired all the time. Yesterday, I also got a flu shot, and that drained me pretty well.

I still can’t eat much, so my diet has mostly consisted of soft pastries, apple juice, and lime sherbet. That much sugar has only played into my depression, because sugar is terrible for depression. It just makes me crave worse foods, and makes me feel fat. Then I get more depressed, and I want to eat more sugar. Also, sugar lowers my pain tolerance, and that makes me cranky, and makes it harder to eat, so I end up eating more sherbet and juice, because more complex foods are too much. So, the cycle continues.

I know I’m rambling, and I’m sorry. I promise to astound you all in the near future, or something. I love you guys, thanks for being patient. Carry on.

Hope you feel better soon. Oral surgery is such a hassle. We never realize how much we use our mouths for stuff until we can’t. Do get off the sugar. You are right. It’s making everything worse. Try pureed vegetable or bean soups. They have protein and salty, savory goodness. You can get some good ones in the health food isle in cans or aseptic packages, all ready to heat up.

Sooo many things can play a part in depression. Pain, exhaustion, food changes. You are experiencing a lot of that. Have you tried something like chicken noodle soup? Soup in general gets you away from sugar and gets some protien in you. A thought.Ah, I see another post said the same. LOL. I hope you feel better soon, my dear. Then hopefully others areas giving you troubles will help with depression. Hugs.

Thanks to both of you, I really need encouragement today. Jenny has already been on me to make sure I listen to myself, and I am already trying to eat better. I still can’t exercise though, because a heightened heart rate is still a bad idea. I’ll keep trying, I promise. Love to you both.

Regarding the pickle juice, no more please. salt cocktail is more like it. The medicinal kind is organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Refrigerate after opening. Good for inflammation. topical or you can drink a shot. I have psoriatic arthritis and I have some on a salad every day. Also, idea for wholesome foods: baby food has lots of healthy stuff pureed. Also, plain yogurt w/ applesauce, no sugar added. Take care. Don’t have a blog yet but hope too soon.

I make a point of eating little salt, as a rule. So, when I feel the need to get some vinegar in my system, I don’t feel even a little guilty for using pickle juice. Anyway, I hope to see your blog up soon!
